- מַרְכּוֹף(מַרְכּוֹב) m. (cmp. אַרְכּוֹף) markof, name of a musical instrument made stationary. Kel. XV, 6 המ׳ טהור the m. (used in the Temple) is not susceptible of uncleanness. Ib. XVI, 7 מ׳ של זמר the m. used for the accompaniment of songs; Tosef. ib. B. Mets.V, 10.
